Common questions
How do I add a second parent?
Open Profile → Link parent and enter their email address. Once they accept, both of you see the same children and the same reading history from your own phones.
How do I add a child?
Profile → Add child. Enter their first and last name. You can add as many children as you need, each with their own goals, points and library.
How does read-aloud listening work?
During a read-aloud session, LitLog follows along as your child reads and highlights each word as it is spoken. If the room goes quiet for about 30 seconds, the timer pauses on its own. You can set how strictly it matches — Easy is most forgiving, Medium is balanced, and Hard expects an exact match. Nothing is recorded or uploaded; see our Privacy Policy.
Does LitLog support languages other than English?
Yes — LitLog supports reading in English and Tamil, including read-aloud tracking, so bilingual readers get credit for practice in both languages.
A book won't scan. What now?
Some older or library-bound books have no scannable ISBN. Use "Add manually" and type the title and author — the session logs exactly the same way.
How do points and rewards work?
Reading sessions earn points. You decide what those points buy by creating rewards in the Rewards tab — screen time, an outing, or a book from your child's wishlist. Nothing is redeemed without a parent approving it.
How do I delete my account or a child's data?
Delete a child profile from Profile → Manage children, which removes that child's reading history. To delete the whole account, email founders@kidspiredcreations.com from your account address and we will remove it within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
